1.26 MRC Weekly Schedule + The Part I Didn't Expect...
Community surveys, life changing responses and more determination to make this the best year yet!
Earlier this month, we sent out a community survey. I thought it would be mostly logistical… timing, pace groups, ideas for what we should do more of.
But the responses to one question caught me completely off guard:
Why do you keep coming back to Mondays?
I expected answers about routine, friends, post-run beers, pickles, consistency and having something to look forward to on a Monday…
And yes, those responses were there.
But what surprised me was how deep the responses went…
👉🏼 People shared that Mondays was the first place they felt a sense of belonging in Vancouver
👉🏼 That they showed up during a time when they felt disconnected or unsure of their place here
👉🏼 That they almost left the city — and stayed because of the relationships they built through this community!
Some people said run club doesn’t just change their week, but rather:
”Mondays has changed my life.”
From the outside, Mondays looks simple: a weekly run, a familiar route, a group of people moving and grooving together.
But over the past five years, it’s become something else. MRC has become a place where consistency turns into trust.
And here’s why I’m sharing this.
I want you to know that I see you.
👉🏼 I see the person who shows up alone and still raises their hand when I ask who’s new
👉🏼 I see the courage it takes to join a pace group where you don’t know anyone
👉🏼 I hear the small conversations mid-run that turn into real friendships
👉🏼 And I see the people who keep coming back, week after week, even when it would be easier to stay home
It might not feel like a big deal in the moment.
But it is!!!!!
This survey reminded me that Mondays isn’t just about running. It’s about choosing connection over comfort, again and again…
And if you’ve ever felt that way too, I’d love for you to share it with someone in your world!! Invite a friend. Bring someone new to the city…
If I have a goal for Mondays this year, it’s this:
To protect the literal soul of this community and keep holding space for those small, brave moments that quietly change everything.
Thank you to everyone who filled out the survey! I love you so much!

💗 Girls’ Night Out — Self-Love Edition (Feb 12)
This night is dedicated to the girls. 💗
Valentine’s Day can sometimes feel a little… blah lol
So, we’re creating a night that feels warm, cozy, creative, and deeply connective.
We’ll be gathering at Atelier, a beautiful art studio in East Van, for a cozy evening with slumber-party energy. We’ll start with a short guided breathwork and visualization session, and write a LOVE letter to our future selves… this is one of my favourite practices (and a community favourite from our Vision Board Night.)
Then Atelier owner, Mercedes, will guide us through various painting techniques for your very own self-love greeting card to take home.
We’re leaning fully into the cozy vibes: duvets, pillows, rom-coms, tarot with Bryony, games, snacks, and bubbles. A cute reminder that you can meet new girlfriends at any age and that taking time for yourself is essential!!!
💖The event is already 50% sold out.

See you tonight,
V XO
